Dear Fifth Grade Families,
We hope you are having a wonderful week! We have many important upcoming events during our last week of school. The Fifth Grade Swim Party will be Tuesday, May 27, 2014. We will leave Captain at 10:45 a.m. and will be at the Shaw Park pool from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided for the students, and if we should have rain, we will hold the party at the Center of Clayton. Students may wear their swimsuits to school or they may change at school as well.
On Friday, May 30, 2014, we will celebrate the hard work and dedication of our fifth graders at Fifth Grade Promotion beginning at 9:00 a.m. Promotion will be held in the cafeteria and the students will be asked to go to their classrooms upon arrival that morning prior to the ceremony. Students have been asked to dress nicely for the occasion, but the students are not expected to dress formally. Immediately following the ceremony, we will have a reception in the gym for the students, their families, and friends. This year, promotion certificates will be mailed home with progress reports. We will also be sharing a link via email that will allow families to download the baby picture presentation from our ceremony.
